Abstract

The textile industry keeps pace with the world, outperforming other industries, raising the quality level of the textile industries, and thus, with the mutual relations between technological, scientific and industrial progress, to find solutions to solve the problems facing that industry.
The elderly suffers from health and psychological problems, which is why they must be taken care of. The clothing of the elderly must have certain specifications, distinguishing it with features different from ordinary clothing. It must be characterized by smooth surface, sweat absorption, and high flexibility because there are places on their bodies that are exposed to roughness due to lack of movement. They must Take care to use materials that have a high absorption capacity so that the elderly can feel comfortable.
The research aims to Developing Performance and comfort properties of fabrics for clothing for the elderly by using suitable materials and improving the quality of fabrics produced for clothing for the elderly to be able to compete in foreign markets, using a table for designing experiments from cotton and microfiber materials, by reaching the best textile composition and the best material, the best density of wefts. 18 samples were produced with Satin 6 textile composition and Twill 1/2, Plain1/1. The samples were washed, and various tests were conducted on the fabrics produced, measuring the thickness test, The Square meter weight test, Tensile Strength, Elongation, Air Permeability, Hardness, and Pilling, and most of the samples achieved results required.
