The concept of sustainability as an intellectual reference to Karim Rashid's works (Case Study House Komb)

Sustainability is one of the most important trends that have recently been the cornerstone of
both designers and architects worldwide. Design and sustainable buildings have become
commonplace in many countries of the world. This has coincided with growing concern
about the negative impacts of the environment on Earth's environmental condition, As well
as rising economic challenges due to high energy and building materials costs. The designers
adopted alternative energy sources, developed energy-saving techniques, and developed
materials with new design and implementation methods.
The designer is responsible for the success of his design and his compatibility with the environment.
This was one of the industrial designer Karim Rashid’s principles, who aspires
to a sustainable democratic future through his creative work. This was demonstrated at his
home “Komb”, which was studied by the study and analysis of the stand Based on the principles

showed. The research problem is limited to the scarcity of scientific research that is exposed
