The development of Egyptian oases from the perspective of ecological balances

Abstract

Oasis of western desert of Egypt was a thriving urban & agricultural in Pharaonic and Roman ages, but today it suffers from environmental degradation.
The research aims to Make analysis studies of oasis’s environment, laws of nature governing it to conclude balance ecosystems for it. In order to propose projects to active its excellence locally as well as globally. Therefore the important research results showed that:
 The Building Codes in oasis must b different than 119 Law year 2008 ( قانون البناء
الموحد )
 Architects must study the effects of sand storms, sand dunes with simulation soft ware, to conclude building’s codes pertaining specifically for oasis.
 Studies prove that absorptive capacity of oasis is limited because ground water Sources non renewable so housing projects for new generates inhabitants of oasis only.
 Development of traditional construction systems that respects their habits taking advantage of current scientific technologies.
 For sustainable development of oasis and increase national income form it we must:
o Encourages the therapeutic and eco tourism projects because there is a lot of a well hot springs & natural resaves in oasis.
o Establishment industrial- environmental friendly projects such as manufacturing advanced solar cells from sands of Egyptian desert.
