Abstract

Furniture is one of the most important elements of the Design procedure at all, including the aesthetic and function affect the interior space negatively and positively depending on the perception of the designer for the furniture design settings and relations among them, all of that, commensurate with the space function and its activity.
a piece of furniture has evolved into in terms of form, function, depending on the development of civilization and techniques which play bigger role in highlighting the furniture designs to tangible space to become a reality the human deal with in his life .
This research aims to identify the role of the design and technical development in changing what was indiscussable before or what was variable and become one of the constants or evolved to become more flexible.
For example, restrict the design to suit the material, or to think about the material before design which restricts the designer liberty.
The technology revolution, in terms of raw materials, developed in terms of restructuring, compilation, treatment and finishing played an important role in changing the settings of constant and variable in the world of furniture. accordingly, the rules of the design and manufacturing  furniture is in an urgent need to make periodic comprehensive review by those who work in the field of design and manufacturing, in particular, academics to keep up with rapid development  which happens in every second of contemporary life.
