The Effectiveness of a Guidance Program Based on some Manual Printing Activities to Reduce Introversion Behavior of Deaf and Hearing-impaired Children

Abstract

The study aimed to reduce introverted behavior among deaf and hearing impaired children through a counseling program based on some manual printing activities. The research sample consisted of (34) deaf and hearing impaired children (males and females) enrolled in El amal School for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired in New Damietta City, with ages ranging From (9-12) years old, their intelligence coefficient ranges between (70 - 100) and they have a behavioral problem represented in (introverted behavior), and the study used the following tools: a child-specific data form (prepared by: the researcher) and an introverted behavior scale for deaf and hearing impaired children ( Prepared by: researcher), in addition to a program for some manual printing activities To reduce introverted behavior among deaf and hard of hearing children (prepared by: the researcher) and the results resulted in: There was a statistically significant difference at the level of (µ ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of children in the research sample of people with disabilities (deaf and hearing impaired) in the pre and post measurements To measure introverted behavior in favor of telemetry, as well as the indicative program based on some manual printing activities achieved ≥ 0.6 effectiveness in reducing introverted behavior among children of the research sample with disabilities( deaf and hearing impaired).
