Abstract

Abatract:
Double fabrics have advantages that may not be found in single-layer fabrics, as they can obtain heavier weight and greater thickness in addition to providing the property of thermal insulation, as the main value of these double fabrics is often the production of a tight and high durability fabric, in addition to that this type of fabrics allows many Aesthetics It can get multiple designs that can be used on both sides.
Rectangular weft knitting jacquard machines, Gouge: (5, 7, 12) were used to produce (1) design of double weft knitting fabrics with two layers with (3) different effects of the cohesion areas between the two layers of fabric (1 needle / 2 needles / 3 needles) using a material (Acrylic) and then performing a number of physical and mechanical tests on it: (thermal insulation, air permeability, weight, number of wales and courses, thickness) to assess performance and quality according to the standard specifications to measure how these differences affect the thermal insulation of fabrics.
The research found:

There are statistically significant results in these variables.
