Summary: The study of the history of the Hejaz is the focus of researchers ’interest, because this region has a sacred place in Muslims' souls, and the axes of these studies have varied, whether political, economic or social. However, research in the social history of Makkah Al-Mokaroma still needs more study and exploration in historical sources and extracting what it contained on that aspect to give a clear picture of the history of the Makkah society during its various historical eras. The traveler's books are considered important historical sources, which add a lot of information and events, as they depicted social life and its various manifestations, including clothes that are considered a cultural heritage that reflects the culture and development of society during different historical periods. Hence the research problem appears in what are the names of Hijazi clothes and their complementary and raw materials that work in drawing and preserving the governorate, and the research aims at men's clothing and its differences in the different environment and classes, as well as describing women's clothing during the diversity of societies and occasions, and the effect of mixing of races in the Hijaz on the different types and names of clothes. The most important results of the research were to identify the extent of the interest of the Hijaz people in the appearance of outer clothing and its cleanliness, as well as the diversity of clothes and their impact on the Hajj season and the inheritance of the names of clothes to our present time. One of the most important recommendations of the research is to highlight the traditional clothes in the different regions of the Kingdom through what has been written about it in historical books, directing research programs and studies towards studying Hijaz clothing because of its different artistic and aesthetic values.
