Abstract

This study aims to design women's clothing inspired from global fashion trends of technology with the various light effects "light-emitting materials" and presents techniques and preparation methods of these garments. The study's problem arises from the possibility of using light-emitting materials to enrich the aesthetic and functional values to design women's clothing for special events. The importance of the study includes studying the techniques of the various optical materials and their using method, and shedding light on the knowledge of science and technology and employing them in designing women's clothing. Are used approaches Historical, analytical and practical. The study assumed existing of significant statistic differences between the women's clothing designs proposed in the study that using the various light-emitting materials. The existing of significant statistic differences between the questionnaire axes. The variance analysis "F" is used between the proposed designs. The finding concluded to achieve using the light-emitting materials for the aesthetic and functional values in designing women's clothing for special events, its keeping with the modern fashion, and the way of connecting technology to fashion design. It also concluded that there is an enrichment of the proposed designs using light-emitting materials in terms of idea and design vision resulted from using these different materials with the basic materials in the same color and in different degrees, resulting in visual comfort and harmony which showed the designs in an artistically and aesthetically decent picture.
