Abstract

As a result of the rapid development in technology, man distanced himself from nature, so the human being spends most of his day in the internal spaces that rarely provide the right environment for human health. Some studies have indicated that many children spend less time outdoors than their parents in their childhood to perform daily life tasks, although the natural environment establishes healthy relationships for children that extend with them for the rest of their lives.
The world nowadays is under serious threat of environmental crises and energy resources, this problem has emerged since the beginning of the twentieth century, and therefore global trends have emerged interested in dealing fairly with the sources of the environment represented by the trends of sustainability that concerned only the environment and neglected human health but other trends cared only about human health at the expense of the environment, then some new trends that takes care of both human and environment appeared such as Restorative environmental design. Hence the problem of research is the following question what mechanisms are necessary to apply the idea of environmental design through architecture and Interior design to achieve quality of life? The research aims to study how to create internal and external environmental Restorative spaces to keep the environmental resources of generations and to achieve the quality of life. The importance of research lies in the study of how to achieve the quality of life through internal spaces optimally and maintain the environment at the same time through the descriptive analytical approach by providing an analytical study of the features of "Restorative environmental design" and its role in maintaining the health of both human and environment and achieving the quality of life.
