Abstract

Internet of Things (IOT) technology achieves a great future vision for a new era of intelligence and sustainability in architecture, interior design and furniture, and considering that there are no lecture halls and internal spaces in colleges that have a general positive impact on the environment, and achieve the principles of sustainability through smart design and interaction with the surrounding environment and with the occupants of the university's internal spaces, as this can be done thanks to Internet of Things (IOT) technology, it is a new design trend that contributes in an integrated manner to all elements of the university's internal spaces. Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, which interact with the university's sensors and operating systems, can be leveraged to provide an interactive environment that is smart and sustainable. In this regard, we are studying how to leverage IoT technology to achieve a future vision for the sustainable design of the university's lecture and design halls to reach a smart campus.  Since both technology and interior design complement each other, the importance of studying this trend in interior design lies in all its techniques for the interior designer, as Internet of Things (IoT) technology helps to provide comprehensive solutions to many design problems of lecture halls and various interior spaces in colleges of applied arts. Controlling all elements and determinants of interior design (floors, walls, ceilings, lighting, sound, means of communication, etc.) and converting them into elements that contribute to achieving sustainability. Therefore, the interior designer must be able to apply Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in the interior design of lecture halls and various interior spaces in colleges. This is done during the early design stages, so that he can find sustainable solutions and integrate them into the design process, in order to achieve an advanced and sustainable interior design. Hence the problem of research lies in how the interior designer can keep pace with technological development, specifically IOT technology, and make some adjustments to take advantage of including the design of the interior spaces of the lecture halls to achieve the principles of sustainability? The research also aims to confirm the use of Internet of Things technology in the interior design of smart lecture halls in universities to achieve sustainable principles. At every stage of the design to preserve the surrounding environment, in order to emphasize the role of the Internet of Things as a key element in the conception and implementation of projects that affect the success and development of educational institutions
