Abstract

Human response to architecture is usually based on subjective feelings: I love this building, I hate this space; This room is so open, this office is oppressive. But something more subtle is going on to elicit these responses. Neuroscientists have found that distinct processes occur in our brains - consciously and subconsciously, perceptually and physiologically - from the moment we step into space, as these processes affect our emotions, our health, and even our memory.
Although neural architecture seems to be a new field, the truth is that it is approaching its first 70 years of life. And this science has an interesting connection to the brain, through the senses and living experiences. It aims to improve the quality of life through buildings that reduce stress and anxiety by creating spaces characterized by achieving happiness, well-being and productivity.
During the research, we will understand more about how neural architecture has been essential to modern and contemporary constructions, and always adds a strong sense of pleasure linking architecture, urbanism, interior design, and their tools. And how the user perceives the internal spaces from the perspective of the brain's working mechanism.
