Abstract:
Organic architecture is an architectural philosophy that seeks harmony and compatibility between nature and architecture. The term 'organic' refers to a design approach in which the designer creates buildings that harmonize with the surrounding nature and serve their function. Organic buildings blend with the natural landscapes and the environment around them. They also use construction materials from the same location as the building, aiming to minimize environmental impact and become part of the surrounding environment. American architect Frank Lloyd Wright is considered the pioneer of organic theory and the first to base design on inspiration from nature, making the design an integral part of the surrounding natural environment. The relationship between textile printing design and architectural designs was not expected, as designers in textile printing and women's fabric design typically draw inspiration from the environment and heritage. However, modern trends have introduced new and distinctive sources of inspiration, and organic architecture can be an important source of inspiration for textile designers. Therefore, the idea of this study came to benefit from the aesthetic values and the formative elements of organic architecture in conducting design experiments in the field of designing women's print fabrics using specialized computer programs (Photoshop - Illustrator) through which an unlimited number of units and different design elements can be easily obtained and processed to create multiple design ideas quickly. The beginning of applying the organic trend in the field of textile print design in general, and the field of designing women's print fabrics in particular, is the beginning of a new and different creative trend.
