Abstract

The designer faces many challenges in his field of work due to the changing operating costs and raw materials at an increasing rate, in addition to the changing desires and trends of customers from time to time, from one society to another, and from one economic class to another, which imposes on the designer the need for constant development to satisfy the largest number of customers with their different trends and purchasing power, the idea of researching the development of glass units designed for the field of lighting and reformulating them within a different framework of the structural systems found in nature came from this, the research problem is determined by the stagnation of glass units produced for use in lighting units in the markets, and the importance of the research is determined by raising the economic value of glass units designed and produced for the field of lighting units by reformulating them in different installation and assembly systems, the research focuses on studying and analyzing some natural structural systems and utilizing them in designing systems for installing and assembling glass units in the field of lighting, in addition to developing a set of alternatives for the same unit with different systems to confirm the effectiveness of working with this mechanism, the subject of the research.
