Abstract

Abstract:
The functional performance properties of denim fabrics are determined and expressed by the properties that are measured in the laboratory, so the the strength of fabrics depends on their durability and tear resistance properties, in addition to another set of properties, and the properties of friction resistance and resistance to bending affect the consumption life of the fabrics, as well as the properties of wrinkle resistance and hardness Dimensional stability determines the possibility of taking care of it, and comfort is expressed in the properties of air permeability and moisture absorption, which are the main means of regulating and controlling body temperature (and it can be said that denim clothing is acceptable if it meets the needs of the consumer).
 
  Quilted fabrics are considered to be heavy in weight with a relatively higher raw material than the requirements of single-layer woven fabrics. Lining fabrics are mainly used for the purpose of raising the percentage of warmth retention for garments in addition to the softness of the woven surface. These features can only be obtained in single-layer fabrics by using threads. Thick, and this necessitates that we reduce the number of threads in the unit of measurement to obtain heavy regular fabrics.
 
In this research, Eight samples of denim fabrics (jeans) were produced using some different weft materials and using two Weft Backed Weaves structures with the using two of weft density , then some laboratory tests were conducted on those produced fabrics in order to measure their functional properties , in order to clarify the extent of the improvement in functional performance as a result of the use of different Weft Yarns and different densities of the picks /cm on the fabric by Using Weft Backed Weave Pattern Technique.
