Believing in the institution’s role in scientific research and achieving leadership in the academic and research field, besides, serving of community in various fields related to design and applied arts, faculty of applied arts- Damietta University has issued JAAS (Journal of Arts and Applied Sciences) in January 2014. The journal seeks to issues which required creative, analytical and philosophical studies in order to access to results that can be formed and converted into product meets the criteria of design and artistic creation.

The journal is issued every three months in both Arabic and English through reviewers at the regional and international levels all over the world. The journal urges to creativity, superiority in scientific research as well as contribution in developing of design and creative thinking.
